This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL is in excellent running condition. I purchased it from the southern US 11 years ago and have been carefully driving it in the summer months, and improving it since then. I had the timing chain and oil passages replaced, and all of the rubbers in the front end re-done.. The paint was badly sunburned, so I had it repainted the original blau/schwarz (blue/black). I replaced the old sun dried leather seats with fresh, original replacement leather.
It has the original Hard Top and the convertible top, and a tonneau cover, and all three are in great condition. It also has new tires, and a good stereo. I also have the original radio that it came with.
It's not a perfect show car, but a great, reliable driver that turns heads every time I go out with it. I don't drive it much now because of some medical problems I had. I am 74 years old, and it is difficult to get in and out of it with my replacement hips, so that is why I have decided to sell. In BC, with the collector plates currently on it, I pay $49 for three months insurance and licence. It should easily qualify for collector plates for the new owner.
Mileage is high (192,xxx MILES, but then it is a Mercedes, and should be good for for at least as many more as it has now, and I feel I have priced it accordingly.
